On Wednesday, April 15th, 2026, our gentle giant, Charles Hutchinson, died in a scuba diving accident in Kona, Hawaii. Known as CJ by many who loved him dearly, Charles was constantly smiling and pursuing adventures in marine biology. Blessed with the natural talent of being a "Human Metronome", Charles was a gifted drummer for several bands during his years at Hammond School and Belmont University. Charles ultimately graduated from The University of Hawaii and began his career in the islands.

We are collecting funds in hopes of helping his family cover the expenses of this sudden loss. From service arrangements to final details, these moments are heavy enough without added financial worry and your support helps carry the weight of bringing Charles home to South Carolina.
