Bringing Blake and Bailey Home
Donation protected
Ten years ago I started riding horses with Hope for Horses and I met Blake and Bailey. Bailey and his mom were rescued from a kill pen in Nevada. I was fortunate enough to watch Bailey grow up on the ranch and fell in love with him like everyone else. I now have the pleasure of giving lessons with this amazingly patient horse. Everyone who knows Bailey loves him as much as I do.
Blake came in to Hope for Horses on a trailer and he wasn't able to stand on his own. Along with many volunteers and myself, we nursed Blake back to health not only physically, but emotionally. He had developed paraphimosis due to his extremely starved state. Many times, this condition results in amputation. But with many hours of intensive wound care and proper nutrition, Blake came back 100%. I'm fortunate now to use Blake in my lesson program and he is perfect for the kids!
I am in a position where I have to make a decision to adopt Blake and Bailey or lose them to be adopted by someone else. I am in love with these horses and I am committed to providing them a purpose and a soft landing. I am hopeful that I can continue my lesson program with these horses and that they will spend the rest of their years here with me.
I cannot do this on my own and I am hoping you will help me bring these ponies home. You can be a part of our family by keeping us together. What's in it for you? A lesson!! And an open invitation to visit us any time. You will be part of continuing our legacy and we will be forever grateful. Thank you for considering this grand request and I am grateful and appreciative for each one of you.
