Hello, my name is Fazil On Yu, a dance choreographer and artist based in Zurich, Switzerland. I am collaborating with Ugandan music composer and performer Ssemaganda Ronald in Kampala, together with Tonny Africa from Vienna, on a theater piece titled “Black Skinned, White Masked.” We are progrommed to perform this piece at the Afro-fingsten festival in Winterthur Switzerland at the Theater Am Gleis on Sunday 24.05.2026.

“Black Skinned, White Masked” is a dance piece that explores stories of struggle and resilience, reflecting on belonging, loss, history, and identity among Black people and people of color in Switzerland and across Europe. This project currently has no institutional funding and is being supported entirely by us, the artists.

We need your help to bring it to full life. we are seeking your support. Contributions will help cover essential costs of the final production, including travel and visa costs (for Ssemaganda), travel insurance, accommodation, costumes, music, technical crew, and stage design.
