Help the Family of Willard “Bill” Daspit Jr. Find Peace and Closure

I’m starting this GoFundMe on behalf of Willard “Bill” Daspit Jr.’s wife, who is still trying to make sense of the heartbreaking truth that has finally come to light after years of uncertainty.

Bill went missing in September 2023 after a wreck. That morning, he was seen walking back and forth through our Coteau Holmes community—confused, disoriented, and likely in shock. For over two years his family searched, prayed, and hoped for answers. In December 2024, remains were discovered, and this week, they were officially identified as Bill.

Our hearts are shattered, but at least now, his wife and loved ones have the answer they waited so long for. However, the emotional toll and the unexpected costs of bringing Bill home and laying him to rest have become overwhelming.

This fundraiser will help cover funeral and burial expenses, as well as provide a bit of relief for his wife, who has carried this pain for so many years. Any amount—no matter how small—means more than words can express. Every donation helps honor Bill’s memory and gives his family the peace they’ve been waiting for.
