Bringing baby Georgie home healthy
Donation protected
Our friends have travelled over to the USA to meet their sweet baby girl who was born via surrogate. The entire process up until now has been huge and they were feeling pretty isolated being so far away but were so excited to bring her home and start their new life with her big sister.
At 4 weeks old Georgie became really unwell and was rushed to hospital where they very quickly found out she has bacterial meningitis and is in critical condition. Watching a baby be put through this pain and all these tests is not easy but as most will know healthcare in America is very costly too which adds to the strain. They have done the right things and have insurance but it only covers so much with all the costs associated with lumbar punctures, blood transfusions and being overseas needing extra accommodation. The goal is to assist with medical costs, flying parents over, ongoing medical bills and just to get them home safely at some point.
We know so many people would love to help and honestly there's nothing that can take away the pain of seeing their sweet baby like this but a small relief from financial burden will go a long way.
Your generosity will mean the world to them in a really hard time!
During this incredibly hard time we ask to give them space and privacy and we as a team will keep everyone updated!
