My name is Damian DiPinto. I originally started photography as a way to build out my portfolio for Architecture school. However, since then, it has become an integral part of how I understand the urban environment.
With guidance from Professor Killion Mokwete, I curated two projects that depict the complex relationships people have with the urban environment. ‘People, Animals and Architecture’ examines how modern India interacts with its historical architecture, and ‘Urban Canvas’, explores the relationship between street art and the ex-industrial neighborhood of Spitalfields in London. Both projects look at the dialogue between life and the built environment.
I am reaching out to my colleagues, classmates, friends, and family to help cover the cost of printing on photo paper to get my first exhibit printed. Any amount is appreciated! Thank you.
