Hi everyone,
I am heartbroken to share that my cat (April) got out the night of 03/31/26 around 1:30 a.m. and ran into the woods near my home. My partner and I have done everything under the sun to find her and have been looking nonstop.
I met her 5 years ago in my old apartment complex in San Marcos, TX, where she had been abandoned by her previous owners and survived for 4 years in the parking lot before I met her and took her in. She was pregnant at the time and gave birth to her beautiful daughter, Tinkerbell (who I kept as part of our family).
In desperation, we have hired a wonderful animal rescue service that specializes in drone and canine services to locate lost animals. They are very expensive, and we are unfortunately not in a financial position to use their help for much longer. We just closed on a house and moved with the military from Florida to Maryland 2 weeks ago. We are currently living on my partner’s salary as I have been job searching. Our bank accounts are extremely low after all of the moving expenses and unforeseen repairs this home has needed.
I know it is a lot to ask for money from friends and family; however, we are in a desperate situation. This organization is our only hope. If you know me, you know that my cats—April, Tinkerbell, Apple Cider, Big Boy, Mercury, and Petals—are my entire world and my raison d’être.
