Alex went to join a friend in New Zealand, who was travelling. He was besotted by her. Unfortunately, her feelings were contradictory.
Alex hanged himself on June 19th 2018. He was 21.
I am being lent money by some very kind people, to go out to New Zealand and bring him home for burial. My partner is going with me, for support. Because of the circumstances of his death, it is unclear at the moment whether Alex’s travel insurance will cover his repatriation. I am so grateful for the kindness shown by those people helping me financially to bring my sweet son home. But I need to pay them back and I don’t know how.
