Funeral Expenses for a loved one

It is with great sorrow that I create this donation cause... John was a beloved son, loving uncle and brother, an astounding intellectual and cherished friend to many. His departing us comes as a great loss to many. He was destined for greater things than this ending, and it will leave a hole in all that knew and cared about him.
He is one of the few friends of mine that I can say is a Doctor. He was and always will be considered a great friend. I have too many memories of growing up with him to put into words at this time, but as my son said trying to console me, "A part of him will still live on inside of you." And he will, he will live on inside of all of our memories and feelings and will never truly be gone, but sadly will be missed.
Our circle of friends and family have known each other since childhood, roaming the streets into our adulthood. We can't begin to explain our feelings with proper words at this time even, only that we are in shock of this great loss, and that we love him and wish it wasn't so.
I unfortunately have created this to help with the cost of bringing him home to rest. He is currently in Philly, where he resided, and he should be here at home to rest, with his family. I have currently set the donation amount to 2500 based off of estimates for the needs, but will update upon finding out final cost for it to happen. Alone it can't be taken care of, but I hope that through our friends, his friends, our family and his family, we can accomplish this. The sooner that we get the funds the better, as time is already passing and I have yet to find out how long we have before it is too late. I will be contacting the examiners office and finding out more details and will update on here.
If you can help, please do, it will mean a lot to have him brought back home. Help our friend come home.

There have been so many people reaching out and aiming towards helping, it is amazing and heart warming to see how many people have helped, not on in this, but with helping organize the matters at hand. John is and was a truly loved person by so many people, and it is comforting to see and feel how much he was loved through everyone reaching.
We have had a couple of friends come forward and want to take care of the cost of getting him home, so the initial estimate is covered. After talking with multiple people helping to take care of John in this task, we decided these costs would be better spent towards the remaining costs that were not initially planned out. So we will be using this fund towards needs for the memorial service, reception and burial services for our beloved friend and family member. As soon as we know a date on when things will happen, we will contact everyone in some way to let them know. Thank you all again for coming together and supporting the after care of him.
