Bring Zaiden Home to Rest in Peace
Donation protected
It is with unimaginable sorrow that we share the passing of our beloved Zaiden Tauri K. Higgs, born on July 7, 2007. Zaiden had just turned 18 and was full of hopes for a new chapter in his life. Tragically, he went missing on August 9, 2025, and after several agonizing days of searching by family—without immediate support from authorities—Zaiden’s body was found in a river on August 12th here in Tennessee.
Zaiden endured a deeply unjust and traumatic journey. Misdiagnosed with psychosis, he was institutionalized and later placed in juvenile detention until his 18th birthday. Just days after his release, he disappeared, and now we are faced with the heartbreaking task of bringing him back home to rest in Turks and Caicos, where his heart truly belonged.
We are reaching out to ask for your help during this devastating time. The cost to transport Zaiden’s body internationally and arrange a proper burial is far beyond what our family can manage alone.
Your support—whether through donations, shares, or kind words—means everything to us as we fight to give Zaiden the dignity, peace, and justice he deserves.
Please consider donating and sharing. Every bit helps.
Justice for Zaiden. Bring Him Home.
Update:
Hello everyone,
We want to thank you all for the continued support, kind words, and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.
After viewing Zaiden’s body and due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ve made the decision—based on the recommendation of the funeral home—to proceed with cremation. This was not an easy choice, but we believe it’s the best one given the circumstances.
All donations are still deeply appreciated and will go toward his memorial service, which we plan to hold in Turks and Caicos to honor his life and legacy.
Your love, encouragement, and prayers mean the world to us right now. Please continue to keep us in your thoughts.
