Hello! My name is Teresa Ting, and I’ve been building my fine jewelry brand, Good Lucky, for the past 2.5 years. We’re set to launch in January 2026, with each piece thoughtfully designed and crafted here in my hometown of New York City. To introduce the brand to the world in a meaningful way, I’m producing and directing a short film campaign, and I’m asking for your support to bring it to life.
Why I’m Fundraising
Storytelling is at the core of why I created Good Lucky. This short film will share the vision of the brand through cinematic visuals that capture memory, emotion, and nostalgia.
In the film titled, "I Wish You Love", we follow an elderly woman (played by my mom) as she is transported into a distant memory of young love, heartbreak, and ultimately, the path to healing and growth. It’s a story about how jewelry, like memory, becomes a witness to our lives and the moments that shape us.
Film production is costly, and as I’m starting this brand completely on my own without outside funding, every contribution makes a difference!
How the Funds Will Be Used
Film production is a team effort, and every contribution directly supports the talented crew and resources needed to bring the Good Lucky campaign film to life.

What is Good Lucky?
Ever since I was a little girl, I was fascinated by my mother’s jewelry box. I was enamored by the shiny, pretty objects and the way each piece felt heavy in my tiny hands. Later, my mother passed some of those treasures down to me, along with pieces that once belonged to my grandmother. Through collecting these heirlooms, I discovered that jewelry isn’t just decoration or “fast fashion” - it’s memory, heritage, and identity carried through time.
As the child of Chinese immigrants growing up in New York City, I often felt torn between cultures. I was eager to fit in at school, yet quietly immersed in our family traditions of watching endless Chinese dramas and exploring mythological folklores in our tiny studio apartment. Now, as an adult, I feel a profound desire to reconnect with my roots, which is why I created Good Lucky: an intersection of culture and heritage, inspired by my love for vintage designs, reimagined for everyday wear.
The name itself came from my mother, who used to secretly tuck little crystals and charms into my bag. When I asked why she placed them there, her response was always, “bring you Good Lucky!”
What once felt like an imperfection in her broken English - something I grappled with as an adolescent - has now become the heart of this brand. Over time, that memory has grown into a precious emblem of heritage, one that I hold onto endearingly.
Why This Matters
To me, jewelry is more than an accessory, it’s a witness to our adventures, hardships, and growth. Good Lucky is about creating pieces that carry our stories today and become heirlooms for the next generation.
Your support whether through a donation or by sharing this campaign will help me create a film that introduces Good Lucky to the world in the way it’s meant to be seen: with memory, story, and intention. Thank you so much for believing in this journey with me.
