On 10/15/2926, at 5:30 a.m., my Tío, Wilfred Torres-Zavala, was stopped by two black SUVs off Indian Hill by the 10 Freeway. Without warning, ICE took him and his co-worker without asking for identification or proof of citizenship. They were taken simply for the color of their skin. No wrongdoing when they were stopped, and no prior conflicts with anyone.

Sin previo aviso, agentes del ICE se lo llevaron a él y a su compañero de trabajo, sin solicitarles ninguna identificación ni prueba de ciudadanía. Fueron detenidos simplemente por el color de su piel. No habían cometido ninguna falta al momento de la detención, ni tenían conflictos previos con nadie.)

He was forced to leave behind his wife, Cecilia, and 3 kids: oldest daughter Tati (17), middle son Angel (12), and youngest son Noe (9). He was the breadwinner of the house and would provide not only for his family, but for the community they live in. Since he has been taken, his family has been in utter sadness and lonesome without their father and husband.
