Bring water security to Pachamama Hampina Wasi in Peru

Hi, my name is Marleni and I'm fundraising for a project that comes from my heart:

Help Us Bring Water Security and Long-Term Resilience to Pachamama Hampina Wasi and the community.

Pachamama Hampina Wasi is an ancestral healing and cultural center rooted in the wisdom of the land and the traditions of our rural community. For generations, we have lived in relationship with natural water sources—springs, rainwater, and seasonal flows. Today, those sources are disappearing.

Due to ongoing drought and environmental changes, the springs that once sustained us are drying out. During the dry seasons, we are forced to purchase water to meet our most basic needs. During the rainy season, we harvest rainwater—but it is not enough to sustain us year-round.

We are raising funds to create a long-term, sustainable water solution for our land and community.

Our first step is to build a water well that will provide a stable and reliable source of clean water for our ancestral center. In addition, we have received guidance to expand this vision by creating a small lake on additional land adjacent to our center. This expanded water reserve would allow us to harvest and store water during the rainy season, strengthen the local ecosystem, and create a resilient source of water for times of extended drought.

To make this possible, we must purchase additional land where the lake can be safely and sustainably developed.

The well will serve Pachamama Hampina Wasi directly, and the lake will support both the center and our wider rural community during times of water scarcity. When natural sources fail, families here struggle. A well provides immediate stability. A lake provides long-term resilience. Together, they create water security for generations to come.

Your contribution will help us:

• Drill and construct a sustainable water well
• Purchase additional land for responsible water stewardship
• Create a lake to harvest and store seasonal rainfall
• Provide reliable water access during dry seasons
• Support our rural community during times of drought
• Preserve our ancestral center as a place of healing, culture, and gathering

Water is life. It is ceremony, health, nourishment, and continuity.

By supporting this project, you are helping protect not only a building—but a living relationship between people, land, and future generations.

We are deeply grateful for your support and solidarity.
