Dear kind supporters and generous hearts,
I’m reaching out today with humility and hope to ask for your help for a poor family living in the rural village of Ouled Aissa, in Morocco. This family is made up of an elderly husband and wife and their two sons, who have always worked hard but still struggle to make ends meet. Now, in their old age, the parents face a daily challenge that most of us take for granted — access to clean water.
In the village, there is no reliable water supply near their home. Every day, the family worries about how they will find water to drink, cook, and wash. The nearest sources are far away and often unsafe, and the physical effort required to collect water is extremely difficult for the parents at their age. What should be a basic human need has become a painful hardship for this poor family.
After months of effort, they have finally received official government permission to drill a water well on their land. This means the project is approved and ready to begin. The only obstacle left is the cost of drilling and installing the well.
In this area, the depth at which water is found is unpredictable, which means the total cost can vary depending on how many meters must be drilled. On average, similar wells cost between £1,000 and £1,200. Once completed, this well will provide the family with a permanent, safe source of water for drinking, cooking, washing, and daily life.
This single well will completely change their future. It will protect their health, remove the daily burden of searching for water, and allow them to live their remaining years with dignity and peace, while giving their sons a chance at a safer, healthier life.
Every donation, no matter how small, brings this family closer to something so simple yet so life-changing — clean water at their own home. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page with others can make just as much of a difference.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, generosity, and compassion.
