Hi, I'm Daniel. I am a teacher in Michigan's rural Upper Peninsula. Originally born in lower Michigan, after going to school to follow my mother's footsteps, I became an elementary teacher. Shortly after receiving my degree, I relocated to the Upper Peninsula to teach fourth grade. I truly enjoy living in such a rural area; however, it has come with many challenges.

I worked hard to buy my first home a few years ago. However, during this past month, I received news that my well has gone dry, and I am in dire need of a new well. This costs thousands of dollars, which is beyond what my teaching salary provides for at this time. I have looked into outside assistance sources, and my income literally falls $541 above the set income to qualify for assistance. I am doing what I can to gather any extra sources of money to get water to my home, but I am falling short. I am not somebody who has ever looked for financial help, and it has taken a lot for me to get to the point to admit that this is just a project that is out of my range to do on my own.

I am hoping that friends and family can help to pitch in during my time of need. Any little bit helps, and every "share" of this post may help too. I appreciate any and all support.
