Hello, my name is Ken and I am trying to raise funds due to issues with my health. Between a herniated disc in my back and neuropathy from diabetes in my legs, it has caused me to stop working 40 hours a week for the past year. I had to file for bankruptcy two years ago because of it and almost don’t have much left after my check. My DTE has been shut off since Labor Day and now that it’s getting colder, it makes it harder. I have my two dogs and will not leave them behind, and we do cuddle up at night. The other downside is no power or gas, so I can’t store food in the house at this point. Plus, with my check, I can’t go out to eat. I do appreciate any help and have looked into Salvation Army and other resources, but none are accepting new accounts. It is amazing; you go your whole life and one small thing can throw a huge bump in the road. I have always helped others and never thought I would be in a place where I now have to ask. They say the first step is to ask, and I am trying that. I am very grateful if even someone has listened. I am looking to use the money to restore service and pay ahead, plus stock back up on some food at least. These are very difficult times for everyone nowadays, and I hope to be able to help others again too. Thanks for your support and time.
