VUKOVAR: A Feature Film

Vukovar became both.

Vukovar is a city in eastern Croatia, on the banks of the Danube River.

In 1991, during the Croatian War of Independence, Vukovar became the site of one of the most devastating battles of the war. For weeks, the city and its people endured relentless fighting, destruction and unimaginable suffering.

Vukovar is not just a city. Vukovar is a wound, a memory and a symbol of the courage of a people who did not agree to disappear, a determination of a people to survive.

We are making this feature film that will not be merely a Croatian story, but a film that will show audiences around the world what Vukovar, courage, sacrifice and freedom meant to the people who lived through it.

VUKOVAR is a project that has already begun - $1.7 million has already been secured for its realization. To begin filming and complete the financing, we need an additional $3.2 million.
