We are bringing our host son home for a Malone Christmas. Help us make this a Christmas to remember! You all remember him from our summer hosting adventure. We had such a wonderful time.

We’re looking to our family and community to show him there is good in the World. The past few years he has seen nothing but war and despair in Ukraine. This is a great boy that deserves a great Christmas.

Alaska is more expensive than other parts of the country so we’re looking to raise $5,000. Every little bit helps.

The sad reality; orphaned children in Ukraine are the lowest priority at this time and in many areas, they are “no” priority. Ukraine has over 180,000 orphaned children. The orphanages “graduate” them at 16 years of age expecting them to either get a job or go to college. College is out of the question for most. Nearly 80% are afraid to leave the institution. 15% will commit suicide by age 18. Over 70% of the boys will go on to live a life of crime and over 60% of the girls will get tricked into sex trafficking for a better life that never comes.

I can’t imagine starting life with the odds already stacked against me before it even starts.

We want to show our host son a community that cares about the World we live in. He needs to see a World where there is love and compassion rather than corruption, war and conflicts.
