Hello, my name is Louie. I’m asking for your help to support my wife’s legal costs.
The immigration process is naturally a long and stressful one. We followed every step, filed every document, and paid the money to do it. We had the common setbacks and returns seeking corrections that typically draw these things out.
We finally came to the interview, and it was the last piece of our puzzle. We went there excited and feeling a nervous calm.
During the interview, four men entered the room and told her she was being detained and had a warrant for her. It felt like a prank at first. We were both in shock. As my eyes began to focus on the picture in front of me, I saw the ICE logos on their black vests and realized this was very serious.
To see my sweet wife, the love of my life, my better half, being handcuffed and treated like she had done something to warrant this, I could only watch in disbelief and horror.
This has been the longest 24 hours I have experienced in my life. Not having her here with me. She is scared, and the process has been so confusing. I want her to be home as soon as possible so we can get this process completed and move on from this.
To do that, I need help. We have an amazing lawyer, and he’s doing everything he can to help us. So any support from you will go a long way to help us.
Vika is loved by so many people and she has built such a strong community of friends. I feel so lucky to have been welcomed by all of them. She wouldn’t ever ask for support, as she is the person who will always go to the aid of others. Please share and help us bring her back to her family.
Thank you so much.
Louie
