UPDATE: I have found a Crematory that will handle Tyler's affairs for literally half the cost. I have updated the fundraising goal to reflect that. This will cover his cremation, death certificate & urn.

I am asking for the help of the community. I can’t do this without your help.

My adopted son Tyler passed away suddenly & unexpectedly at the age of 24. I received the call on June 24, 2025 from the Spokane Medical Examiners Office letting me know.
Tyler was a friend of my oldest son in school. He came to me at 14 years of age when his Father & Grandparents kicked him out of their house. His biological Mother walked out on him when he was 6 years old. He lived with my family & I from 14 to 22 years of age. In every aspect Tyler was my son & I was his Mom.

On June 24th The Spokane County Medical Examiner’s office told me that they had to try & reach his biological family about handling his remains. As legally, I had no rights to handle any of his affairs. Even though I knew they wouldn’t. When I didn’t receive a call back from the Medical Examiner’s office, I thought it all had been handled since its now August 7th.

Today August 7th, I received a call back from the Medical Examiner's office. I was told “We were able to get in contact with Tyler's family, and they have chosen to abandon his remains”. Since June 24th, his body has been kept in a freezer.

Today, I am presented an opportunity to finally be able to bring my son home. I am asking for the help of the community to make this happen. We have to come up with $1,500 to cover the cost of cremation, file for his death certificate, and be given the opportunity to bring him home for good.

Tyler deserves to be laid to rest with those that loved him, and I need help to make this happen. I truly appreciate anyone that is able to help with anything they have to contribute. I am forever grateful. Thank you.
