Hi, my name is Malek Badih Nahas. I am an engineer in renewable energy and hybrid solutions, a passionate Diver and a dedicated NAUI Course Director, and a technical dive instructor. I've been in the business of diving since 1992.

My dream retirement plan is to open an Eco dive center running completely on renewable energy independent from the grid, using a solar-powered dive boat and operations. I want to give back to the environment by arranging weekly ocean surveys and clean-ups to bring turtles back to the shores of Barbados, build artificial reefs, and protect and monitor the underwater world.

I have already purchased most of what I need to run my dive center, such as a compressor and diving equipment, and I've found the ideal location on the shore (rated as a platinum shore) of Weston Saint James in Barbados. What I still need is a boat, some solar equipment, and an electric van to operate the right way.
