Bring Tito Home to Rest with His Loved Ones
Donation protected
Hello Friends and Family,
As many of you know, we recently lost our brother Tito, who was taken too soon from this world. Everyone who knew him loved him. He was always very kind, he always made you smile or laugh, he was slow to anger, and he was a free-loving spirit. One of his favorite sayings was, “just live your life.”
He has been here with our family for 25 years, and it’s our ask that you help our family send him home to rest with his entire family who awaits in Mexico so that he can be buried alongside his only daughter who passed 6 months ago. It’s important to his family in Mexico that he be returned to their home for a proper burial. It is their culture and belief that he be laid to rest properly and not cremated. We want to respect this request, but it isn’t an easy process, and the cost is pretty extreme.
We have contacted the Mexican Consulate for assistance and we’re awaiting to see what they can do, but they have said there are limited resources. So far, the cost is $3500 for Weddle Funeral Home in Stayton to orchestrate the process, an additional fee of $1200-1400 for the airlines and transportation into Mexico, and due to the laws around this situation in Mexico, there is only one airport we can use, which is further from Tito’s home in Mexico, so there is an additional cost of transportation between funeral homes and the distance to get him home of another $6000.
We know this is a huge ask, but it only feels right to send him home to rest and get him home to his family so they can grieve and have closure and say their goodbyes. If you don’t feel comfortable donating on this platform, you can always reach out to my husband Necho or myself as well. If you are able and willing to contribute, any amount would be deeply appreciated. Thank you.
