Help Mohammed Get Urgent Cancer Care in Morocco

Hello, my name is Sinead, and along with my partner Hamza, we are fundraising on behalf of Hamza’s beloved father, Mohammed, who is currently fighting pancreatic cancer in Salé, Morocco.

Just 2 months ago, Mohammed began experiencing severe stomach pain. After medical consultations and scans, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. The family managed, with great difficulty, to cover the cost of a major surgery to remove the tumor. Unfortunately, during the operation, doctors found that the cancer had spread into the veins, measuring 4cm, and they advised urgent chemotherapy.

In Morocco, the public healthcare system is not equipped for this kind of ongoing cancer treatment, and private care is very expensive. Mohammed is now critically unwell — he has become extremely thin, can’t eat or sleep, and is in constant pain. A doctor came to visit him at home and warned that unless he is readmitted to hospital immediately to treat a serious infection, he may not survive.

We are urgently raising funds to get him back into private hospital care where he can receive the treatment and monitoring he needs to stay alive.

Who Is Mohammed?

Mohammed is the heart and soul of our family — a gentle, joyful, and deeply spiritual man known across the Salé community for his warm smile, generous spirit, and love of dancing. He’s a devoted husband, a proud father of seven children, and a man who opens his home and heart to everyone he meets.

To see him become so fragile and weak is heartbreaking for all of us.

Why We Need Your Help

The initial surgery was only possible thanks to support from family members, but now we are out of resources. Chemotherapy, infection treatment, and ongoing private care are all costly — and without this, Mohammed’s chances of survival are rapidly diminishing.

Funds raised will go directly toward:

• Emergency hospital admission and infection treatment

• Chemotherapy sessions and medication

• Monitoring and ongoing cancer care

• Transport for hospital visits and check-ups
