Let’s Make a Movie

Hi,

My name is Henry King and I’m a young Actor/ Filmmaker in Vancouver, BC.

With the help of like-minded Creatives, I’ve been able to Write, Direct and Act in 3 productions within the last year and that same passion has brought me to making the film - DONNIE.

If you’re a fan of Boxing movie franchises like “Rocky” & “Creed”, then this film is definitely for you.

Not only does it highlight the sport of Boxing but it also touches on the subject of Domestic Abuse, its effects and ultimately, the value of never giving up.

I decided to make this film not only because it will give local talent an opportunity to shine both in front of and behind the camera. But also because I deeply believe it will connect with audiences who have dealt with or are currently in the middle of abusive situations and hopefully, allow them to realize that they’re not alone.

The funds will be used for production needs like securing filming locations, crew lunches and snacks and also post-production (I.e Editing, Sound Design, Film Festival submissions, etc).
