Voice of Truth is an original song created by real people, real voices, and real lived experience. Every lyric, melody, and performance comes from human artists — written, sung, and recorded entirely without artificial intelligence.

This project exists to honour authenticity: true voices, real emotion, and meaningful storytelling. Your support helps ensure that original music — created with heart, integrity, and purpose — continues to be made and shared.

Voice of Truth will feature the voice of Canadian recording artist Bobbi Poittris, whose generous participation reflects the shared values of authenticity, care, and respect that guide this work.

The song is being developed as a duet, with a male vocalist currently being lined up for collaboration. His participation will be announced once confirmed, and we’re genuinely excited about the caliber of artist this song is calling in.

This fundraiser supports Phase One of Voice of Truth: the creation of the initial vocal recording and musical foundation as part of the ongoing Music & Horses for the Soul creative work.

The Story

Music & Horses for the Soul is an ongoing creative body of work by Yvonne Allen, founder of Voice for the Horse. It brings together music, lived experience, and the quiet wisdom of horses — not as performance, but as reflection.

This work did not begin with a single song or campaign. It grew over time through listening — to horses, to children, and to the truths that surface when creativity is approached with care rather than agenda.

Over more than a decade, Voice for the Horse has shared stories that celebrate empathy, courage, and connection. Projects such as the Stronger music video (2012) and the Wild Horse Stories youth writing collections revealed something enduring:

When children are given space to speak, they speak truth.

And horses are often at the heart of that truth.

Voice of Truth emerges from that same lineage. It is the current music project within Music & Horses for the Soul, carrying forward the values that have guided this work from the beginning: honesty, resilience, patience, and respect for voice.

Phase One — Bringing the Song to Life

This fundraiser supports Phase One of Voice of Truth: the creation of the initial vocal recording and musical track.

$1,800 will cover:

Professional vocal recording

Initial music production and arrangement

Establishing the creative foundation for future development

This first recording becomes the heartbeat of the project — the piece that allows everything else to grow with integrity.

What Follows This First Recording

Phase Two — Completion ($3,000)

Once Phase One is complete, a second fundraising phase will support full musical arrangement, mixing, and mastering, bringing the finished song to completion.

Future Creative Project — Music Video

A music video inspired by youth writing and the spirit of horses may be developed later as a separate project, through sponsorship or a dedicated fundraiser, when the right creative partners are aligned.

Why This Matters

Horses have carried humanity through history — as partners, protectors, healers, and teachers.

For Yvonne, horses also carried her through some of her most difficult seasons, offering steadiness, presence, and belonging when words were not enough. Voice of Truth was born from that place — where resilience meets grace, and music becomes a bridge between lived experience and hope.

This work is not about urgency or scale.

It is about continuity.

Music & Horses for the Soul exists to honour voice — human and animal — and to preserve creativity that is grounded, honest, and deeply human.
