This is so far out of my comfort zone, but in order to repair my family I'm willing to be uncomfortable. My name is Zada Thomas-Samuels and I'm a mother to 4 kind hearted boys and 1 silly daughter. My husband, Corey, and I love and adore our children and we're always doing our best to ensure they feel loved and cared for. Which is why my heart dropped during a terrifying moment surrounding my youngest child, Christian. Christian was just born in April and on June 26th he began having seizures. I thought I was about to face the worst heartache in my life in those minutes in the ambulance to the hospital. Little did I know my entire family would experience a trauma none of us ever thought was possible.

Christian was found to have several injuries according to MRI and Xray. Some possibly from birth. Some originally thought to be from the CPR his father administered at home. Due to this my life has turned upside-down. My husband and I are were being told we were being investigated. I have never been involved in any child abuse or negligence cases and neither has my husband. The investigator found my records clear here in the state of Missouri and in my home state of Connecticut. They also found that neither the school my children attend nor the special assistance team for one of my sons has a single complaint or concern for the children's safety. Despite them finding nothing wrong in home life or from loved ones they called, it was decided that Christian was to be removed pending further investigation. My family (my other 4 children, my husband, and myself) were escorted off hospital premises where we were staying, to be near Christian while he received medical care. We were distraught. My other children not understanding why we had to leave their baby brother. We received paperwork for court and were ready to do what was necessary to bring Christian home. Then the other shoe dropped, not even 24 hours later there was a knock at my door and CPS was there for my other 4 children as well. Which leads me to this gofundme request, I need help obtaining a lawyer. Someone who is familiar with these cases and can truly help bring my family back together. In order to get the lawyer, I need help with funding. Please find it in your hearts to give something or share with someone you know can help! My children are my entire world and we don't deserve to be separated.
