Thank the Sandman

For most of you the Sandman needs no introduction as he has greeted us for many years as we drove into Coronado on 3rd and Orange and he has given us the most beautiful sand art throughtout the years.

I was sad to learn that his health had declined and he is now according to his daughter, Elena,  in hospice care but he has a wish he would like to see fullfilled,  to come to Coronado and participate on our 4th of July Parade.

Many of you are already mobilizing to provide a way for him to be part of the parade and personally I can't wait to cheer him on.

The Sandman lives on a fixed income and his daughter has helped him with his airfare and he will stay with his brother who lives locally, this fundraiser will go to help them with expenses while he visiting San Diego
