We already started our fundraiser amongst friends and family. They all shined their lights brightly. Although the donations have peaked from family and friends, the love and heartfelt well wishes are stronger than ever. We still need to raise $4000 in order to help carry her and her family until these next 2 procedures are done. We aren't asking for charity, we are asking for community support and Yvonne will pay it forward as soon as she beats these debilitating effects of Long Covid and every imaginable disposition she has suffered since first being diagnosed. It's been a snowballing of symptoms from 2020, yet we find hope and inspiration within the journey and still she rises! Will you shine your light for her and remind her that she is not alone in this?

I have a friend named Yvonne who has been fighting long COVID for years. She’s undergone unimaginable suffering, organ failure, stomach paralysis, and now faces two major surgeries. These are not optional; they are lifesaving. Without them, she may not survive. We are raising $4000.

Not for luxury. Not for comfort. Just enough to cover her basic needs while she heals and keeps a roof over her head.

I’m sharing her story because she’s always been on the giving side, working charity toy drives, serving her community with love. But charity hasn’t found her back yet... until now... You don’t have to know her personally to feel this truth:

“She’d rather fade quietly than feel like a burden.”

And that breaks my heart.

The plan was to complete an angiogram with either a stent or a catheter. The cardiologist stated due to my fragile body and the size and location of the blockage: He feels “The risk is not worth the reward,” when it comes to adding an additional foreign object into my body. I was released and given cardiac clearance to proceed with the 2 gastric surgeries I need to fix my paralyzed stomach, hernia, and one-of-a-kind surgery to hopefully alleviate the extreme stomach issues.

They’ll be making a pocket for my meds so I can absorb them and continue to live. I’m on 22 pills 3/4x a day, and this will remove 5 meds that have horrific long-term side effects. One surgery is a 3-day inpatient surgery, and the last one is a 10-14 day stay with 3-4 days in ICU. All good energy and support are appreciated.
