Hi and welcome to this fundraiser for Steve (Stephen) Groves.  My name is Meaghan Kenny and I am one of Steve's nieces.  Steve was that uncle that truly strummed along to his own unique melody.  A beautiful melody that ebbed, flowed, and asked questions of the world he travelled so well.  In those travels he touched so many lives with his music, philosophy, and good humour.

It has brought his family such joy to see the wonderful tributes left to Steve on his Facebook page.   We thank you for this reminder of how well he was loved.  We are all comforted by knowledge that Steve spent his last waking moments, on this earth, walking the beach in Puerto Escondido, Mexico.  Next to music, his children, and grandchildren, this is what he loved.

Raven, Steve's daughter, is navigating the challenging logistics and financing the ever-mounting costs of repatriating Steve's remains.  Steve lived in a beautiful way, against mainstream, and thus did not accumulate any significant wealth for these circumstances. 

We ask, if Steve touched your life in any way, that you consider helping his daughter (and mother of his two grandchildren, Aiden and Kai) with a monetary contribution to the costs to Bring the Groove Home (although we all know he called many places home!).

All contributions will be used to pay the fees at Cole Funeral Services. Cole Funeral Services have been incredible at managing all the logistics for bringing Steve back to Ottawa.
