For those who know me, you know I don't ask for much. Six years ago, my wife, two daughters, and I decided to move across the country from North Carolina to Oregon in the hopes of a better and more prosperous life for ourselves and our kids. It has since become a decision that we regret (with the exception of my oldest daughter who is now in her sophomore year at Portland State University).
My wife, youngest daughter, and I would like nothing more than to be able to come back home. Unfortunately, we are stuck without the funds to make that happen. Despite me working two jobs and my wife working full-time, we just barely keep our heads above water.
I understand that times are hard for most right now. We collectively just want to get back to our families and friends in the hopes of starting a new chapter in our lives. Our current situation makes it impossible to provide the funds needed for such a move, e.g., rental truck, hotel rooms, gas, etc. So I'm reaching out for any help that we can possibly get. Any amount is helpful, and believe me when I say, I have a certain amount of shame in even asking for donations. I would be eternally grateful for any help we could get. Thank you to everyone who donates, shares this post, or even reads it.
