Hi My name is Ron King and I am Susan's Father. Susan has lived in Marco Island Florida for the last 25 years with her husband who recently passed away. Susan moved back to Atlanta area 2 years ago to be close to her family.

She went to work for old family friends who own Williamson Brothers Barbeque Restaurant . She has been enjoying her time here in the Atlanta area with family, especially her grand children.

Recently Susan began having difficulty breathing and thinking perhaps she had contracted COVID did a self test which was negative. Her breathing continued to get more difficult to the point she was unable to work, or drive. The family took her to Emergency at Northside hospital in Canton.

A MRI scan at the hospital showed her to have a lung tumor although the tumor was small she was connected to the oncology department for follow up. An appointment was arranged with the oncology doctor who told her that it was a stage 4 cancerous tumor that has spread to her lung tissue and causing fluid to build in her lung which was causing her breathing difficulties. The oncology doctor arranged to have the fluid drained which provided temporary relief.

A plan was created by the oncology department at Northside to place a catheter in her lung to keep the fluid draining, surgically install a port to provide access for the chemotherapy and Keytruda immune therapy drugs to be administered.

Of course Susan has lost her ability to work and is dependent on family and friends to help her spiritually, and financially but we will need additional support to see her through this very difficult time.

We are all optimistic that Susan will beat this cancer but it will be a long haul and we certainly need your support!
