Our family is reaching out for your kindness. My brother Terry, lost his life in a tragic house fire on Monday, March, 2021. He was living in Oshawa/Durham in the upper level of a row house on Olive Street. There is an ongoing arson investigation that has not reached any conclusion as yet.
Four people were treated the same day and released from hospital. Another four, including my brother, another man and two small children were found the next day. All were deceased.
His only son, my sister and myself, are endeavoring to bring him back from Ontario to his final resting place, his forever home in Cape Breton.
His son, living in Calgary, has been out of work for over a year due to Covid and both my elderly sister and myself are only on fixed pensions. I have set up this fund in hopes of securing his cremation, return to the island and internment costs. Thankfully we have burial plots so he will be laid to rest with his parents and brothers.
