Bring 'Tell Me About Her' Music Video to Life!

Hi there,
We're sashiBOOM and Ellie Fier , and you know we're passionate about our music. We wrote the song Tell Me About Her and released it as Sashi's solo single, produced by the talented Elle Puckett back in Pride 2023. So far, the song has reached over 200.000 streams on Spotify. The song means the world to us, and we're taking it to the next level by creating a duet version under our brand new duo name "blackcherries" and as a brand new remix mixed by the incredible San Diego-based artist, Jesse Rone Johnson.
To complement our song, we've been working tirelessly on a sexy and queer-centered music video. We've enlisted the creative genius of Los Angeles filmmakers, Ashleigh Coffelt and Courtney Birk (CAinLA on Twitch), and we've been planning this project since the end of the summer in 2023.
Unfortunately, we encountered a setback when a generous donor who initially supported the project unilaterally pulled out due to a scheduling conflict related to COVID. To make matters worse, they've disputed some of the payments they had already made and spent, leaving us with a Venmo dispute claim of $3,000. This situation is incredibly unfortunate and spiteful, especially for musicians who often rely on tips and community support to pursue their creative endeavors.
However, we're not giving up on our dream project. We're determined to bring our music video to life, and that's why we're launching this GoFundMe campaign.
What We Need:
We are seeking $6,000 to cover the following expenses:
- Flights to Los Angeles from both Denver, CO and Kelowna, BC
- Accommodations in LA
- Rebooking venues and locations
- Covering other expenses such as crews and meals that the previous donor refused to fulfill
- Part of the funds raised will be used to address the Venmo dispute claim, if necessary.
Our music video shoot is scheduled for December 5th in Los Angeles. We are grateful for any support you can offer to help us make this project a reality. Every donation over $50 will be recognized in the video credits, and for generous donors contributing $1,000 or more, we're offering a "Co-Executive Producers" title. Other than that, we also will send you a personalized thank you card signed by both of us and some merch to wherever you are in the world.
