Bring Tahnee Home
Donation protected
Please help us bring Tahnee home to her family, where she belongs. Hi, I am a long time friend of Maddison's and I'd like to ask for your help in relocating her twin sister, Tahnee, to her new home up North. As some of you might know, Tahnee's family have relocated North and have been lucky enough to find a beautiful place for her close by also. Tahnee requires around the clock care and assistance, especially whilst travelling. Although the choice to relocate Tahnee closer to her family is a fair and reasonable one, the government does not deem it 'necessary' and therefore will not assist with the expenses associated such as travel costs and care by a qualified support worker along the way. Please feel free to contribute only as much as your family budget allows - every dollar is truly appreciated and will help the Kemp family get their daughter & sister back safely and well cared for during her travels. Thank you. A note from Maddie: Hi all. It’s Maddie, Tahnee’s twin. Thank you all so much for the donations and sharing, you have no idea how much this will help. Our aim was always to get Tahnee up to Ballina so not only will this money help in the moving costs of hiring a truck, a van to transport Tahnee and the accommodation but we are hopeful to have one of Tahnee’s beautiful house carers travel with Tahnee and help get her settled in an unfamiliar home and help train the staff to know how to properly care for her for at least a few days so Tahnee will have someone she knows and trusts and the new staff will have more of an understanding in what it means to look after her. She is severely disabled and needs 24/7 care which means feeding, drinking, changing etc so whatever is raised will hopefully go towards making this happen and Tahnee feeling safe and loved. Just because she is severely disabled doesn’t mean she doesn’t feel all the things we feel so again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
