A beloved community favorite deserves a second chance.

My name is Lindsey Shelton, the previous manager and now the new brand owner of Suzy's Swirl. As a young girl, I dreamed of owning something of my own—something joyful, something meaningful, something that brought people together. I never could have imagined that dream would find me through Suzy’s Swirl… but it did. And it truly felt like a miracle.

For 13 incredible years, Suzy’s Swirl was more than a frozen dessert shop.

It was frozen happiness.

It was where families gathered after long days.

Where good news was shared, and milestones were celebrated.

Where the laughter and excitement of little kids buzzed louder than any machine on the hottest summer days.

It was where employees became family—and customers felt like they belonged.

I was the manager at Suzy’s Swirl for 2 years before closing, and I witnessed this magic every single day. - When Suzy’s Swirl closed in August 2024, our community was crushed. Regulars were heartbroken. Families were disappointed. And those of us behind the scenes felt like we lost something deeply personal. It wasn’t just a business that closed—it was a gathering place, a tradition, a piece of our community.

But in the middle of that heartbreak, something extraordinary happened. I had the idea to ask if I could possibly try to and open Suzy's again!

The previous owners entrusted me with the opportunity of a lifetime: to bring Suzy’s Swirl back to life as my own. They gave me full permission to use the name, brand, equipment and all things Suzy's because to me, this was my dream. It was the happiest I had ever been! It has since been my mission to bring Suzy's back!! They believed in my passion, my work ethic, and my heart enough to allow the legacy of Suzy’s to be in my hands. I was given the original equipment, the training materials, the branding, and the procedures—everything that made Suzy’s Suzy’s.

This is bigger than frozen yogurt.

This is about restoring something our community lost.

As a mom of two little ones, this moment matters more than ever. This is about showing my children that dreams don’t disappear just because life gets busy. That with hard work, belief, and perseverance, you don’t give up—you build. You try. You follow your calling. I am just now truly starting out in life—building something from the ground up, learning as I go, and doing my very best to create a future for my family.

I have the drive. I have the experience. I have the vision.

What I don’t have—yet—is the financial cushion to do this alone.

Asking for help does not come easily. But this dream is bigger than pride. This is about showing my children that it’s okay to believe in something so deeply that you ask others to believe in it too. That you don’t give up when things feel out of reach. That community matters—and when you lean on it, incredible things can happen.

I am not asking for a handout.

I am asking for a hand up.

Here’s the plan — and why your help matters now:

My goal is to raise $150,000 by the end of March 2026.

These funds will allow me to:

• Secure a permanent Suzy’s Swirl location

• Obtain business insurance

• Cover initial payroll expenses

• Purchase opening inventory

• Create the magical build-out that brings Suzy’s Swirl back to life

Once these funds are in place, Suzy’s Swirl 2.0 can open by Summer 2026.

I already have everything else—the equipment to lease, the training, the experience, and the vision.

All I need now is help getting started.
