As of April 27, 2026 it will be 29 years to the day since I successfully became the only the 9th man in the world to run & complete running a 26.2 mile marathon for 52 straight weeks. I called it my "Super Run for the Cure" since I ran all 52 marathons in 52 weeks to raise money & awareness for a cure for the dis-ease, leukemia. I left my job of 16 years as a disc jockey at WHOK-FM in Lancaster, Ohio, and rented out my beautiful home in rural Hocking County, Ohio to take on this gargantuan task of running one marathon a week for a year, but I DID IT! I started with the Cleveland Ohio Marathon on May 5, 1996, and finish 52 weeks later running the Big Sur Marathon in California on April 27, 1997. It was an incredible year of intense traveling and running. A year filled with not much money but a massive amount of faith and belief in my mission! It was a year filled with a massive amount of drama, trauma, victory, amazing highs, and the lowest of lows, but I did it!

Now here I am 29 years later and there are still many people who find my story and year long effort of running 52 marathons in one year, amazing, and a story they believe the world should know more about because of the inspiration it will provide, and the belief that one man, one woman really can make a positive difference in the world. This is why Beyond Belief Films wants to take the story of my Super Run for the Cure to the video screens of the world, to make a movie out of my story. To do so costs some $$ to get the ball rolling to present My story to the film producers of the world. With this in mind, my goal is to raise $2000 to get this thing off the ground. So, if you believe that the impossible really is possible, whether your a runner or not.
