Stephen Cramer passed away suddenly in Santa Monica, California, taking his own life. Stephen was deeply loved and appreciated by friends in so many places, with perhaps the largest group being in and around Athens, Georgia. His loss has left a profound impact on all who knew him.

Stephen had expressed his wishes to be cremated, and for his ashes to be taken to the Great Smoky Mountains, where he spread his mother's ashes 14 years ago. Once his ashes are transported back to Athens, Georgia, a group of his friends will come together to carry him from there to the Smoky Mountains, honoring his memory and fulfilling his wish.
