S.T.E.A.M Circus Hawaii (https://steamcircushawaii.com), led by Ronja Evans and Deena Frooman, is dedicated to enriching school standards by using circus skills as hands-on tools to supplement academics. Our five-day residencies for 1st through 8th grades bring science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics to life in classrooms across Oahu. Through activities like juggling, plate spinning, acrobatics, and stilt walking, students not only learn academic concepts but also gain lifelong physical, social, and mental skills.
We are passionate about making learning both fun and meaningful. By integrating circus arts with S.T.E.A.M. education, we help students understand everything from gravity and Newtonian principles to coding, measurements, and timing. Our residencies are designed to be accessible to all, and with your support, we can offer these experiences to students at no cost to them or their families.
S.T.E.A.M Circus Hawaii’s unique and engaging in-school residencies, founded and delivered by Ronja Evans and Deena Frooman, both of whom are educators and accomplished jugglers, have 50+ years combined, successfully integrating circus skills with academic enrichment in school settings. Ronja Evans, known for Circus Olina (http://circusolina.com), has been offering circus skills and movement classes on Oahu since 2013. Deena Frooman’s passion for circus and combining academics in education led to the creation of S.T.E.A.M Circus (https://eventsgoodcleanfun.com/s-t-e-a-m-circus/). We invite you to view our websites to learn more about us.
Your donation will directly cover equipment, teaching materials, and instructor pay, ensuring that more children can participate in S.T.E.A.M Circus Hawaii.
We want to deeply thank our community for supporting this vision. Together, we can inspire the next generation and show that learning can be both educational and joyful. Please join us in bringing S.T.E.A.M knowledge and fun to the kids of Oahu!
