We’re a group of IU theatre and music students pouring our hearts into Spring Awakening, the Tony Award–winning rock musical that lays bare the beauty and heartbreak of growing up. Set in 1891 Germany, it tells the story of young people discovering desire, shame, and identity in a world that silences them. For us, it’s not just a show; it’s a reflection of what it means to come of age today, when so many voices still fight to be heard.

Our creative team, Director Nate Koss, Music Director Lila Zehava, Choreographers Adia Dant and Elliot Dagget, Stage Manager Sadie Maw, and Intimacy Coordinator Ryan Andrews, guided by faculty mentors Jenny McKnight, Leraldo Anzaldua, and Grant Goodman, is dedicated to creating something raw, honest, and healing.
