Bring Silver Mist to the Fringe!

This year, a small team of student creatives based in St Andrew's is hoping to bring an exciting original play, Silver Mist, to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Silver Mist is a drama set after a nuclear fallout that has devastated civilisation. The Richter family have somehow survived in their high-altitude holiday home. Now they are all alone, so very fortunate for their survival, but stuck with each other for eternity. Every crack in their character bubbles to the surface as they each try to take the reins of their fate. Who is in charge? Is there such a thing as authority anymore? This absurdist drama explores the meaning of a life in isolation, fragile family bonds and the human anxiety towards extinction.

Silver Mist is an engaging and unique play that shines in its relatable rhetoric and satire, inspiring you to laugh beyond the world's end. Given the setting and theme, it also presents a unique opportunity to all the young creatives working to make it happen. It is an ambitious project that unfolds in a rich and stylised atmosphere, offering our team the chance to express a deafening creative vision and use every tool in their arsenal. The success of this play will mean a tremendous impulse for all our performers, writers and production staff getting started on their journey, and your donation could make it all come together!
