About Me & My Music Journey
Hello, my name is Shokufeh (pronounced Shoh-koo-feh), which means blossom in Farsi
I’m an Iranian-American singer, storyteller, and traveler, carrying music with me wherever I go. Over the years, I’ve lived and traveled in many places around the world, and music has been my constant companion—my teacher, my guide, and my way of connecting with people across cultures.
My journey has been anything but ordinary—full of adventures, challenges, and lessons in resilience, joy, and the power of connection. Whether I’m cooking for friends, leading workshops, creating food for retreats, or singing in intimate gatherings, music is always there. It’s the invisible thread that ties everything I do together.
My love for music began early. My dad surrounded me with songs from around the world—vinyls, tapes, and CDs filled our home, from the old Persian classics to Western melodies from the ’60s and ’70s. My mom’s sweet voice often carried through the house, singing Persian folk songs and lullabies that still echo in my heart. Those early memories shaped the way I feel music—deeply, emotionally, and beyond language.
Many Years ago in early 2000s, while singing in a car with actress and musician Golshifteh Farahani, she turned to me and said, “You have a natural ear for harmony.” That moment stayed with me—it was a quiet affirmation that I was meant to keep singing.
For me, singing is more than sound—it’s emotion, story, and healing. It’s how I process life and connect with others. My songs are born from these moments—of transformation, love, gratitude, and the joy of living life fully.
This year I was honored to sing at “Let Her Sing,” an annual concert celebrating female voices specially from countries where women are prohibited to sing, by Diaspora Art Connection. I now feel more strongly than ever that I want to Sing, create and share my music with the world

“She immerses herself in cultures through food, language, and music, always uncovering new pieces of herself. Her love for Spanish and Latin music inspired her to learn the language, while her Persian roots keep her grounded in poetry and emotion. Singing in Farsi, Spanish, and English, she blends her journey into every note. Tonight, she invites us into her world—where stories become songs, and love is what remains.”
That beautifully captures who I am: someone who embraces life fully, exploring new cultures and using music as a bridge between people—my way of harmonizing hearts.

My Debut Album
Now, I’m ready to take the next step: creating my debut album.
This isn’t just a dream—it’s a calling. My songs weave together my Persian roots, my love for Spanish and Latin music, and the stories from my travels around the world. With this project I will share my voice and stories and hope that this project would give permission to Iranian women & other countries to be able to Sing & share their love of music
This fundraiser will help me professionally record and produce these songs—the first step in bringing this vision to life. Funds will go toward studio time, production, mixing, mastering, artwork, distribution, and promotion.

I want to be transparent about how I will receive your generosity & how it will bring this music into the world:
• $7,500 – Recording Begins: This milestone allows me to begin studio sessions, record, and produce 2–3 songs, giving this project its first real heartbeat.
• $10,000 – EP Level (Main Goal): With this support, I can complete 5–6 songs and release a full EP (mini-album) with professional mixing, mastering, cover art, and digital distribution.
• $15,000+ – Stretch Goal: Extra funds will make it possible to create a full album, collaborate with more musicians, produce a music video, and share the music widely—helping it reach hearts across the world.

Why I’m Doing This
Music has always been my companion and my teacher—it’s shown me how to transform life’s experiences into beauty. Through singing, cooking, teaching, and traveling, I’ve learned how art and connection can heal and bring people together.
Now, I want to share that through my own songs—songs that tell stories, inspire love, and encourage people to live with openness and authenticity.
