Hi everyone, I hope you all are fine and your children and relatives are fine too. I will begin my message with a small advice, my advice to you is to appreciate the life you are living no matter what. Appreciate the time you are spending with your family and with your loved ones, if it is in normal days or in special occasion enjoying a beautiful moment watching your family laughing and having fun. In my opinion being among loving and caring family who's ready to give their life to make their children feel happy, safe, and secure - this is the true meaning of life.
I am Shimaa Seline's mother. Thank God, I arrived in Egypt safely with my newborn baby girl. I want to thank all the people who helped us with that, but I still do not feel comfortable because of my poor family in Gaza who are suffering from difficult circumstances and suffer from danger. I'm really afraid of losing them. My family is everything to me. I lost my uncles before and it was very hard for me when I was pregnant. In fact, I cannot imagine that anything bad will happen to them. I want them by my side and by their granddaughter side. Seline has the right to see her mother’s family. Now my family is facing difficult times after our house was completely destroyed. They lost everything and there is nothing left for them in Gaza.
How many times have they escape from one place to another just to survive from death? Now they live by the sea side in one small tent that isn't enough for them and also they suffer from the lack of food. There is no money to buy anything after my father lost his job. The situation became very hard he's English teacher by the way, and my mother, who used to stay up all night embroidering clothes and bags. She sells it to provide us with a living and help my father at home. All of that has disappeared since the war began.
Now my family only depends on the aid that is distributed to people. The aid is all canned food, which is harmful to the stomach, and there is no clean water for them to drink. I suffered a lot when I was with them in the tent when I was pregnant. The situation was very very hard. It was very difficult for me. There was no good food other than canned food. Even the water was dirty because of that Seline came very skinny. Also, there was only one bathroom for more than 20 families. How many times I did it on my self because the bathroom was crowded. It was a very difficult period and now my family is suffering badly. also now the bombing is next to them, and I have become more worried about them. I cannot concentrate with my daughter, and I also cannot eat or sleep, and all of that is from thinking about my poor family.
I have two older sisters named: Jumana, 27 years old. She finished her education at the university weeks before the war, and she wanted to work to help my father, but the war ruined it and my younger sister: Yasmine, 18 years old. She was supposed to be in the twelfth grade. How excited she was to study and get a high average. She is a very genius girl and loves studying very much. The war also ruined her dreams and ambitions. I have my middle brother: Muhammad, 22 years old, who was injured in his hands a few days ago. This is due to the bombing of a house next to my family’s tent, and the shrapnel entered his hands and he needs surgery, but the hospital does not have the capabilities and tools and told him to postpone it until further notice. And my younger brother: Abdul Karim, 13 years old.
This is my simple family...
increasingly suffering gives me support and make me not to give up to the horrible events, and it encourages me to message you asking your kind humanitarian assistance. Your humanitarian financial support will be highly appreciated since it will enable my family to cover the cost of travel to Egypt where we can find safe place to live. Your quick response will be safeguarding, protecting and saving my family's lives. May God bless you all and keep your families safe forever.
