My friend Jean Elizabeth was everything you could’ve asked for in a person, plus a hilarious attitude and sassy personality. She was raising a young son on her own and a fluffy cat, both whom she adored more than anything. All of this was taken from her along with her life on June 10th at 9;50 pm. Her son had been doing a sale with a man from facebook marketplace like he had so many times before. Only this time, the customer he was interacting with became aggressive. When Jean stepped in to support her son, the man went over the edge. He pulled out a handgun and shot her point blank in the head in her own driveway, in front of her family. She was then taken to the hospital nearby where she underwent intensive care, and later pronounced braindead. As of June 13th at 6 pm, she has been taken off life support. This has rocked all of the lives of anyone who knew her, but more importantly the family she left behind. She had become such a good friend to me and the least I can do is raise money for the people left behind in the wake of this tragedy. I created this gofundme as a family friend and someone who became close with Jean, to help them fund whatever may come during this time. After we’ve raised as much money as we can I will pull the funds and give them to a chosen family member to be allocated as needed.
