The Story Behind Secrets of Densmore Manor
For years I’ve been fascinated by the places people forget — the old houses at the edge of town, the buildings with stories no one quite wants to talk about anymore. Every town in New England seems to have one. A place where rumors live longer than the truth.
Secrets of Densmore Manor grew out of that curiosity.
The film follows Ava Shepherd, a small but determined paranormal YouTuber who investigates haunted locations and forgotten legends. When she learns about a remote manor rumored to have a disturbing past, she and two friends set out to document the truth.
What begins as a simple overnight investigation slowly turns into something much more unsettling — something that challenges their sanity, their friendship, and their ability to escape the place they entered willingly.
But this project isn’t just about making a horror film.
It’s about telling a story the way horror used to be told — grounded, atmospheric, and driven by characters instead of jump scares.
We’re creating a found footage psychological horror film that leans into tension, mystery, and the feeling that something is wrong long before you understand what it is.
The kind of horror that lingers with you after the screen goes dark.
This film is being made independently with a small but passionate team. We’re filming in real historic locations, using practical effects, and capturing the raw authenticity that makes found footage feel real.
And that’s where you come in.
Your support helps us secure locations, cover production costs, improve sound and lighting equipment, and bring the world of Densmore Manor to life the right way.
Every pledge helps us move one step closer to turning this eerie idea into a finished film.
We want audiences to feel like they discovered something they weren’t meant to see.
Because some places keep secrets.
Others keep you.
