The Sasquatch Encounter Experience is the only space dedicated to
Sasquatch in Colorado and the surrounding states. Housed inside The Sasquatch Outpost, the Sasquatch Encounter was originally built in 2016, and was
expanded in 2018.
This amazing resource was conceived by Jim and Daphne Myers (owners of the
Outpost), and was built by Jim and a team of motivated volunteers over a period of several months. To date, the Myers have spent approximately $15,000 of their
own funds to build, decorate and fill the Encounter with photography, artifacts
(discovered and donated), eye-witness testimonies, 3D statues and much more.
Now, after six years of growth and success, we believe it's time to up the ante
with the addition of a brand new exhibit: Two ultra-realistic, 3D, hairy Sasquatch
figures - an adult male and an infant - created specifically for us by a company in
Ohio. We believe this new exhibit will potentially be a game changer for the
Sasquatch Encounter Experience. Not only will these creatures be very realistic, but we have asked the builders to animate the head of the adult sasquatch to slowly turn right and left, complete with sound effects - all of which will be activated
by a motion sensor as soon as someone enters the room.
We have paid a downpayment to the company this week, and they are
projecting sometime in mid June to complete the figures and be ready for us to
drive to Ohio to pick them up and bring them back to Bailey. The total cost to
build the two Sasquatch is $7800. We have put $1500 of our own funds into the
project as seed money, and we have launched this Go Fund Me campaign to
hopefully raise the remaining $6300 by early June, 2021.
Contributions of $50 will receive a certificate of recognition for your
valuable participation
Contributions of $100 - $200 will receive a certificate, and a limited edition
poster specially created for the new exhibit.
Contributions of $200 or more will receive all of the above, as well as your name
on the plaque of major contributors that will be hung prominently in the exhibit
room.
We believe that many of you are fans of the Outpost and the Sasquatch
Encounter, and we are hopeful that some of you may want to join with us to see
this vision fulfilled, and the new Sasquatch figures in place in their new exhibit.
