Help me bring Sadie home.
Sadie is our rescue dog from Indonesia, and I’m trying to bring her home to Australia.
We found Sadie when she was just a tiny puppy living on the streets. She was little, hungry, and needed someone. I couldn’t leave her there knowing she had no real safety, no home, and no one properly looking out for her.
From that moment, she became part of our life.
We were living in Indonesia at the time, and Sadie quickly became our whole life. She became the reason we stayed as long as we did. But our situation changed. We had to return to Australia to work, save money, and get ourselves back on our feet. Australia is home for me, and all I want now is for Sadie to be here with us too.
Right now, Sadie is safe and being cared for, but she is still not home.
She has had to stay behind while we go through the long process of getting her to Australia. She doesn’t understand why we leave, when we are coming back, or why she can’t just come with us.
And that is the hardest part.
All I want is to give her the life she deserves — a stable home, a soft bed, proper care, cuddles, love every day, and the chance to never be left behind again.
Bringing a dog from Indonesia to Australia is not simple. It is a very strict, very long, and very expensive legal process. Sadie cannot just get on a plane and come home. She has to go through every correct step before she is allowed into Australia.
This includes vet checks, rabies vaccinations, blood testing, parasite treatments, a microchip, export paperwork, a relocation company to help with the process, an approved-country pathway, six months of care and boarding while she completes the waiting period, cargo flights, an Australian import permit, quarantine in Australia, and transport once she is finally released.
The total cost could end up being more than $20,000.
I am working, saving, and doing everything I can to make this happen. Sadie is my responsibility, and I will keep doing my part and building a better life for her. But this is a huge amount of money, and any help would make a real difference in getting her home sooner.
Even a small donation helps bring Sadie one step closer to Australia. One step closer to the life she deserves.
If you can donate, thank you so much. It means more than I can explain. I’m so grateful for all the love, support, advice, and kind words from everyone.
Let’s bring Sadie home.
