I'm Evelynn Sinclaire. I live in Portland, OR, and I desperately need help bringing my wife Roxy and our friend Pidge home.
Pidge is living on Disability and had moved out of its family home last year. Unfortunately, things have not worked out -- the house it lives in with its roommates is falling apart and in constant need of maintence and repair, and the financial stress has reached a point where the situation has become unsustainable. Pidge's roommates have given it until June 2026 to find a place - this deadline is absolute, and as it stands, Pidge barely has enough funds to cover their groceries and cannot afford things like seeing their doctor, buying suitable clothes for the weather where they've moved, and other necessities.
Pidge needs out of their current situation, as does Roxy, who has a rough life living with her family as a trans woman. The both of them, as queer people living in less-than-queer-friendly areas, suffer from social isolation as well. All of this has had a negative impact on their health.
We (Evie and Roxy) are working hard to try and reach our goal of $3,000 and secure an apartment before the deadline, as Pidge has no options for backups that would be feasible within the timeframe they've been given and their roommates can no longer accomodate them. We thought we would have more time than what has been given to us, so any help would be be deeply appreciated.
Moving in together to Portland would help us all. Pidge and Roxy's situation currently isolates them due to their respective disabilities, financial situations and/or their queer identities. We would be able to live and thrive under a better support system, eat healthier and exist in an overall safer and healthier environment.
