The day before our little cousin Bella's quinceañera, our uncle was taken into ICE custody. It was something none of us could have imagined happening, especially the day before one of the biggest milestones in her life.

Instead of celebrating with her dad by her side, Bella spent one of the most important days of her life asking where her dad was. She walked into the church, celebrated with family, and danced the father-daughter dance without the one person she had been looking forward to sharing those moments with the most. No child should have to experience that kind of heartbreak.

Our uncle is more than an immigration case. He is a devoted husband, an incredible father, a loving uncle, and one of the hardest-working people we know. He has valid authorization to work, has no criminal record, and has been working to complete the immigration process the right way. He has spent years building a life centered around his family and giving back to the community through his business, helping build homes, driveways, sidewalks, and projects throughout our area.

In a single moment, our family was torn apart.

Since being detained, he has been separated from the people who need him most. While our family tries to stay strong, we are also facing an overwhelming legal battle. Immigration attorneys, court filings, and other legal expenses quickly add up, and we are asking for help as we fight to bring him home.

Every dollar raised will go directly toward legal representation and the costs associated with his immigration case. Having experienced legal counsel gives our family the best chance to navigate this difficult process and advocate for his return.
