Bring Robert Home: Medical and Living Expenses

Hi everyone, my name is Brittany and I am writing this on behalf of my brother, Branden and I. I’m from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and have been in Toledo, Ohio since February 6th. On February 5th, my dad Robert went into the emergency room in Willard, Ohio for a sickness he couldn't seem to get over. After some testing it was determined to be Influenza A and pneumonia. A few hours after he was admitted, his heart stopped and went into cardiac arrest. After 45 minutes of CPR, the doctors and nurses were able to get his heart beating again and he was immediately transferred to a heart hospital in Toledo, Ohio. He has currently been in the ICU with significant brain damage since that night. He was intubated and still has to be on a ventilator 24/7, with a trach. Things are slowly progressing in the right direction but we are having to leave the hospital and go to a long term acute care facility where he can get the treatment he needs. The facility his insurance approved is about a mile away from the current hospital in Toledo, which is no where near home or any family. It is also a place no one would want to place their loved ones, especially your parents. With all the medical bills, transport fees, and living expenses, we are asking for all the help we can get. Any donation would help and we would be forever grateful. We just need him back where he belongs, with family and the people who love him.
