Bring Relief and Joy to a Family in Need

Family & Friends,
As most of you know I’ve been experiencing chronic pain since 2020. It has come to a head to where I am needing lumbar fusion surgery. I’ve tried physical therapy, two spinal shots, and steroid medications with very little relief if any. On Halloween I went to the emergency room begging them to help me. My pain was beyond the level 10. The emergency room and my chiropractor referred me to the same neurosurgeon who strongly suggests I have surgery or ruin my back and continue to be in this pain. I’ve decided to move forward because this is not a quality of life that I want to live. After many discussions with others who have been in this situation they say surgery was the best decision. With all the pain the last 3 months I’ve missed a lot of work, have been approved for FMLA, and exhausted my HSA. The Dr bills are starting to come in and my neurosurgeon is asking for 50% of the estimated 20% that they expect me to owe. That is $614 dollars due by Dec 4th. After surgery I won’t be able to drive for 3 weeks and more than likely won’t be able to return to work for 6 weeks. Thankfully I do have short term medical leave for those 6 weeks. I don’t want to do a GoFundMe or ask for help but I’m putting my pride aside.
Along with my medical issues I won’t be able to provide my boys with Christmas. The first year I will let them down which I feel a lot of shame for. I told them and their responses were so selfless. They just said, “Ok.” Said with so much grace. With all that said, I’m trying to keep a smile on my face and have a positive mindset.
If you’ve read this far, bless you. I truly appreciate the people in my life and any help they’ve offered. If all you do is leave me a prayer I’d be forever grateful.
Thank you.
